Why do we do, what we do?

We love working with schools and strive to deliver new innovations, functional and process improvements as new technology becomes available. Our services are specifically designed to improve not only school process, but also community culture and student learning outcomes. Compass is a product that genuinely provides students, teachers and parents with an improved educational experience. You can leave at the end of each day knowing you made a difference to a students education or helped make a staff members day just that little bit better.

What's the reason people work for our company?
Established but dynamic

We are an established company, but we still maintain a strong start-up culture. That means a huge range of possible things to work on, and some things are super challenging. We give you the opportunity and freedom to be creative about achieving goals - essentially an extremely open minded approach to problem solving. We offer a highly supportive environment which rewards clever thinking and problem solving techniques. As a team, we all value people who are brilliant at what they do, and easy going (a good sense of humour is a big win).

Amazing working environment

Our head office in Balwyn North spans the entire second level of our building - floor to ceiling glass windows with big open working spaces, a view of the city and surrounding suburbs, plus a balcony with outdoor seating and BBQ. Trams and buses are out the front, there is lots of free local parking, and we’re right next to the Eastern Freeway. Inside we have standing/sitting desk options, sofas, beanbags, and lots of meeting rooms with whiteboards and glass to doodle on (plus projectors and TVs everywhere with Apple TVs). Down the end of the office is the CompassCafe with a kitchen, big shiny coffee machine, cold beers, table tennis, Nintendo Wii and café-style seating.

We do all of the tech

Technical people ahoy! We deal with many different technologies and stacks – standard Microsoft and Apple stuff, iOS/Android, heaps of different server/desktop/mobile equipment, a million different web and database technologies, embedded devices/custom appliances, NFC, video production equipment and televisual gadgets, cameras/imaging/facial recognition - the list goes on.
